Movie Maker or Photostory?

We have created movies using two different programs now. We used Microsoft Movie Maker 2 in computer class and each student has created movies using Photostory 3 in Social Studies class. At this point students should be proficient users of both. Please comment on your experience using each. Pay particular attention to their similarities and differences.
Compare and contrast the two and describe which program you think would be better to use in certain situations. Some of you have used Audacity too, so you may include information on its use also.

I thought that the movie maker was better than photo story because i thought it was easier to use and i thought that you could insert sound easier. I also liked photoshop better than picnic because i thought it was easier to save and find tools.

I liked Movie Maker much more. i thought it is user friendly and really allows the user to get a feel for the program. when using moviemaker i realized that when adding music it was alot easier, you could find and record your music in literally under five minutes. i also like how you can add effects and transitions with click of buttons. photostory is just too open for mistakes and doesn't guide the user as well as moviemaker.

I thought that movie maker was easier to use.I like it better because in photostory everything is much more complicated to do simple things like adding effects and transitions. In movie maker everything was cut and dry if you wanted transitions you would click the transtion buttom. I also liked how in movie maker you can always read the text you write and with photostory some of the colors and type of writing would come out blurry. Also songs were easier to import in movie maker. I thought movie maker was easier to use overall.

I really liked the projects that we did in Movie Maker and in Photostory. I think that we could of did more in Photostory because it is a lot of fun and maybe there are more things that had to do with this program. I liked making the movies more because you had much more to do.

From all the different programs we used i preferd photostory because it is just much simpler to use and gives you steps for the movie which just maid it a little easier for me. the songs were as an example easier to insert. My favorite part of this program though was that we could give the pictures effects that made it easier to understand the project we were working on.

I thought this project was really intresting to create. I thought the coolest part part was putting in music because I got to search all the interesting music. I thought saving was the most difficult part, but I got it after a while.

Yea, i thought Windows Movie Maker was far better than Photostory, because you can add in movie, picture and sound files easier. Also adding effects and backrounds were easy to do compared to Photostory. Windows movie maker also allows you to save and publish your project easier than Photostory does. Ye and dats the truth yee yee

this was easy to use. it was better than phottostory because of the sound. anyone can use it- you can make your own video out of anything. a pic, an animation, your own video. The music took me literally a minute and a half and on photostory you hav to record it and the whole thing.

17 minutes!!!

I believe that even though Movie maker was an easyer thing to use. i think that photostory is a better program because it lets you have more options to use, and gives you alot more options to edit pictures.
