Movie Maker Project
We have created movies using two different programs now. We used Microsoft Movie Maker 2 in computer class and each student has created movies using Photostory 3 in Social Studies class. At this point students should be proficient users of both. Please comment on your experience using each. Pay particular attention to their similarities and differences. Compare and contrast the two and describe which program you think would be better to use in certain situations. Some of you have used Audacity too, so you may include information on its use also.

I think that both photostory, and moviemaker are great tools to know how to use. One thing that I like about photostory is how it automaticly puts the transitions in for you, and you can also alter them. Something else that I like about it is that you can create music to use. However, movie maker is good too. In that I like how it is formated and how you can ad music. I think that moviemaker would be best if you wanted to just put pictures in. I think that photostory would be better if you wanted to add words.
I think that photostory, and moviemaker are such a great tool to know how to use. somthing that i enjoy about the tools are that its easy to create things, and make some projects accepible and creative.
I think that photo story and movie maker are both good files to know how to use because then you can make movies aboout anything wenever you want. I also think that these are good programs to know how to use because they are fun programes to mess around in.

Photostory and movie maker are both excelent tools on the computer to use. Personaly I like movie maker better because there are more transitions then photostory. It also lets you choose how long the music ends.

I think photostory and movie maker are cool. You can make cool, orginal movies, slide shows, and music on it. It is a awesome tool to know how to work.

Using Photostory is so much fun. I enjoy using it and playing around with it. I like how you can make your own music in the photostory. In Movie maker there are so many more elements that you can use. For example Movie Maker has effcts that are very cool to use. Since there are so many transitions i love to use them all. Its very amazing to see how one picture goes to the other one. Even though they both are great programs I perfer to use Movie Maker.

I Belive that knowing how to use photostory, and movie maker is such a great opportuinty. You can then put all of your photos into a creative story. The two tools are very alike. Because they both tell a story with the music, photos, and words you put into it, to create such a great thing.

Photostory and movie maker are both great to make movies. They are very different though. In photostory you cant add animations or moving pictures, so for moving slides movie maker is better. But, movie maker is better for plain pictures becuase you can add transitions to make your pictures more powerful. Also in photostory you are able to add words or captions to the picture slides. Music is easier to use and edit on movie maker. This is because you can start and end it when you want just by clicking and dragging the beginnning to the end. They are both great tools to use and i reccomend them both!

I think that being able to use these tools on the computer is very usefull to know in case we grow up and have to use them for a... work project like a meeting presentation. It will make it easier to adapt to work tools on the computer when we get jobs.

I think using both photostory and movie maker are good tools to be able to use. If you want to make a video out of pictures, it takes your pictures and makes them flow really well. I like in photostory how you can say where you want the photo to start on and where you want it to end. So i think both are very important to be able to use

i think that both are very useful and helpful tools but moviemaker is a little better, you can do more. photostory is a little bit more simpler and easier to use. but again these are two great programs that are easy to use and are fun:-):-

I have never used Photostory before our Social Studies project so it was really new to me. However, it was very simple and easy to work with. It also has many similarities with Movie Maker. Like how they use the same effects, but I prefer Movie Maker more because it has more options to work with and I've also used Audacity, which I really liked a lot because I never knew you could record music from the Internet and then use it in your Movie Maker. They're both really cool tools to work with and they're also really helpful. :]

Before computer class I didn't know how to use movie maker or photostory. Now that I know how to use it I think it's really cool and easy to use. Everyone can use it and it's really helpful.

I think that they are very similar. They both make great movies in the end. Photostory is a little simpler to use, especially since you don't have to cut the music. Movie Maker I think allows you to customize it more, and has more options. Audacity is a great program, and once you learn to use it properly it becomes very easy.

I like photostory more than movie maker becasue in photostory you can control your zoom in or zoom out. You can also create your own music. But in movie maker you have more creative transitions. I think photostory is better for something that is not supposed to be very creative.

I like both of them alot. they are both Good for different perposes. if you want any words you need Photostory. But in Movie maker it is a little simpler.

I think that photostory and movie make are both very amazing tools and are great for making movies. Photostory however does not let you put animations up while movie maker does. But in photostory it’s easier to create movements for the photos and make them appear better. Movie maker is a little more complicated and it's harder to find out how you do that. It’s harder to put the photos in the order that you want them and harder to make them stay up for the amount of time you want. In general, I think movie maker is much more complicated than photostory, and therefore, I like photostory better since it’s really easy to understand. Photostory also lets you create your own music; something that you can’t do with movie maker. That’s better if you do not know how to add music or you’re having trouble with it. If you wanted to make a slideshow to tell a story, then photostory is better. If you wanted to make a full out animated movie, movie maker is better because you can add moving clips and animations. I really love how you can choose your start and end time so easily on photostory, it makes it much easier to create a dramatic movie that has more effect than it would if you don't choose the start and end time. I really love audacity because I never knew you can record music straight from the internet. I thought you had to use a tape recorder or something else. I love that you can record music from the internet because that makes it so much easier to put it on movies. Photostory and audacity are wonderful together. I thought you needed a video camera to make movies, which I don't have. Now I know you can make movies straight from the internet which is so awesome! Now I can make videos all the time thanks to photostory, audacity, and movie maker!
