These are two new Web 2.0 publishing tools. It is easy to post text, pictures and videos. Even businesses are exploring the use of blogs and wikis for a variety of purposes; from customer service and advertising to employee work spaces. Now that you have experienced both blogs and wikis, describe some of their features. What websites do you use that are a type of blog or a wiki?
If it were possible, how would you use a blog or wiki that you created in school? What subject area would you find it most useful? Why?

I use alot of websites that have blogs like facebook, yahoo, photobucket, and google. I have two blogs of my own and I use them alot. I think blogs are better because you can comment on the easier and see what other people say. I like wiki's too and it's cool that you and everyone can edit the information. I think they would be most usefull in science because thats a hard class and you can get alot of help in it by talking to other people on things like blogs and wikis. Anyway, they are both cool and very usefull. :)

Though Both Blogs and WIki's are both usfull I personally perfer WIki's because i got to put pictures/ Widgets on it which i personnaly think is very cool.

Many websites have blogs such as Google, Facebook, and Yahoo. I like blogs because you can share your opinion very freely. I really like how we made our Wikis and were able to insert a widget and insert a podcast. If it was possible for me to have a blog in school I would discuss many things around the school and hear other students' opinions. I think I would find it most useful to have a blog because I would be able to discuss important matters and get advice on the topic. :)

I think that the wiki pg is more fun then blogs because you get to express yourself in the wiki pg then you do in a blog.
Alice- Some websites that are blogs are like Fotolog, Photobucket, and facebook. Blogs are my favorite out of the two because I think they're more customizable. An example of this would be the web layout, and background color. I also like it better for the way people can comment. I think the best thing about blogs are that you can have different posts. Wiki's are cool too. I really enjoy being able to add widgets. I think they're really useful because you can communicate with other people and get some help. I think they're most useful for recipes, this way you can post your own recipes and tips, then you can ask them a question about the recipe. You can even leave your own tip or suggestion. They're both wonderful and very very useful.

Ithink that science would be a good subject for a blog because you can communicate about things that you find out in experiments. I think that blogs are better when you want to communicate with someone. However, wikis are better if you want to share pictures and other multi media files.
