We have used Photoshop Elements to manipulate pictures. The pictures have been transformed using various tools to paint, colorize, distort and even clone images. Most of us do not have this program at home. However, thanks to Web 2.0, there are many new websites that allow us to interact with them. We tried three of them: Photoshop Express, Pixlr and Picnik.
All are free to use. (However, they do charge for an upgraded version, which allows you to save pictures that you have manipulated with some of the advanced functions.)
Write a comment describing how easy or difficult it was to use these websites. Also include some of the features that you used and how your pictures changed with them. Was there one website you particulalry likes and why? How do they compare with the version of PhotoShop we have in school?

Hello. I really liked photoshop because it was very very very fun to use and i can edit stuff really really good/well. Yea. I also like pixler because it was cool. But photoshop was alot better though. It was fun to edit pictures.
using these website were actually much easier than i thought they would be. during computer class i used photo shop picnik and some other photo editing websites. In my pictures i used cloning alot which really made a differenc on my pictures. I like picnik because they have alot of different options to edit your photos, i would say picnik is fun and easy to use but I think that the photo shop that we have at school is pretty cool to use each time I am dicovering something new.
I think it was really fun to use all of the websites. I found it really easy to use them. On Picnik I uploaded a picture of myself and used the features from Picnik to rearrange my face and change my hair color to blue. I particulalry liked Picnik because I found it really easy to use and I loved all of the features it had. I love the version of PhotoShop we have at school because I love the cloning feature but I think I like Picnik the best out of all of the websites we used. Overall I really enjoyed working with the websites and I had a really good time.
It was very easy to use those websites. I often used 'tint' in Picnik, and colored my hair to bright pink/blue/green etc. In Photoshop I mostly used the stamp tool. It was funny to see how real it kind of looked when you put one feature into another picture. I liked the downloaded version in school, because I had more oppurtunities to different features, rather than the free version on the internet. I didn't use Pixlr to edit any pictures. My favorite was Picnik, because it was very easy, and it was a lot of editing to do in one picture.
I really enjoyed using Photoshop and Picnik. Even though I've been on the picnik website before, I still learned more during class. Photoshop was a little harder to use but after I kept using that element it slowly started to make sense. My favorite was Picnik though because there were so MANY features to use, like changing the color of your eyes or hair, or making the picture NEON or in a pencil sketch or painting. So basically, Photoshop was a little harder to use the tools and other things because I've never used it before, but picnik, I have used so it was easier. I think Photoshop was cool with the cloning, but I liked picnik better! :):):):):):):)
picnick was easy to use and so was photoshop elements once i found out what the tools do. pixlr was hard to navigate so i didn't use it much. photoshop express was the same as photoshop elements. i liked using the clone tool.
I thought that all the photo editing websites were fun and easy to use! Since picnik is on facebook, I have used it before and it is easy to use. Pxlr was a little harder to use, mostly beacuse I have never used it before, but once i got the hang of it, it was easy. Photoshop was difficult and easy to use. The Photoshop in our links section was an older version of it, so it was harder to use, but once i got the controls down, i got to use Photoshop Elements. That is the program i used to make my news cast story picture. It is fun to use, and I liked it the most. So that's what I think about the photo editing sites!
Useing the photo editing was fun and easy to use after you play around with it for a while. After I got the hang of it they became super easey to use. If I had to pick a favorite website it would be picnik because it was the easyist to use and it had the most features
I really like photoshop because i think it is a very nice program to use. You can edit anything you want and any picture you want. You can fool your friend with a photo that you edit because they won't know if it's real or fake. I think the cloneing part was cool because if you ever want something to dissapear or look better you can do that. There are alot of thing you could do in photo shop. you can edit, paint, put pictures in, combine, and alot of other interesting things that you can do in photo shop. So if you like to edit things this is your program.
Photo-editing was easy to use and really fun. I used all three sites and liked all of them. They all had different tools I could use that the other cite didn't. Adobe photo editing had a lot of tools. My favorite on that would have to be the sketch tool because it looked like you had sketched the picture without taking any of the time that sketching really does. I liked Pixlr because it had tools like sponge and burn which gave a completely different affect to the picture you are editing. But lastly I really enjoyed using Picnik. Picnik would have to be my favorite just because it had so many affects and text, not to mention animations. I really learned how to edit pictures on Picnik.
I thought that the websites that we used were really easy. I didn't know some things and now I do.I really liked cloning the pictures because it was fun to take one picture and then put it in another.I liked the Picnic website because you got to put anything you wanted in your picture. In Picnic you got to do anything like changing your hair color and putting stickers in your picture.Picnic is very similer to all the other photo shops but,I think this one was the best. So i would love to use this again.
I really enjoyed working with Photoshop. I thought that it was fun and very interesting to learn about. It may have taken me a while to learn about all the tools but in the end I mostly got them all and was able to use them effectively. I think my favorite Photoshop site was picnik because I thought that it had an overall better format. Overall I thought that I learned a lot over this unit and had a lot of fun also
Hello. I really liked photoshop because it was fun and easy to use. I would sugest it anyone because it was fun. Picnik was good to but alot of the features you had to pay for. So I stuck with photoshop

Photo-editing was very fun. I realy liked picnik the most. It had all the tools I needed. I didn't like pixlr or Photoshop as much because they didnt hav as many effects. I like the clone stamp on Photoshop, but I was hard to use at first.
I think that using these photo editing websites was easier than I originally thought it would be. I really liked using Photoshop Elements because it was easy to use and it offered many features and effects to put in our photos. I liked using cloning in Photoshop because it made the pictures look very different.
I love how in photoshop 8 you can clone objects and you can easily personilize a picture even though i think paint was the easiest and most effiecnt software.
Photoshop is my favorite. It's so fun to use, especially the cloning button and the animation stuff were working on now! Picnik is fun too. This is my second time using it. I adore the greying thingy you can do.
The second website, Pixlar, I was not too fond of. It was hard to work and kind of annoying, so I stayed with Picnik and Photoshop.
This class is so fun! :)
it was prettu easy to use i took me a while to get used to but once i did it was really easy and fun
hello! I really like photo shop because I think that its cool how you can take a normal picture and change it to be something really exiting! my favorite project was the Breaking news story beause we got to use photo shop to clone something that really wouldnt exist.
I think that picnik and photoshop was the best. they were both easy to use and had a lot of features. they were much easier than i thought that they would be. i liked to use cloning in photoshop and the cinema scope effect in picnik.
Using photo editing websites is really fun and easy by a click of a button you can have your own puzzled master piece my favorite would have to be "Adobe Photoshop Element".
I loved to use piknik and photoshop. In Piknik, I loved all of the stickers... especially the mustaches. I liked photoshop because of the clone stamp, I think that was my favorite site. But Piknik was definitley easier to use.
I really liked using photoshop because it was very fun to use. I can edit photos really easily. I also liked picnik because there were alot of effect. However, photoshop was the best one. I had fun editing photos with photoshop
Photo editing was very hard to do. The clone tool was cool but it was hard to use, but in the end, it looked cool.
i thought that photoshop was the best but it took me a while to find all of the features of the program.
My favorite photo editing website was Photoshop. In just about every project I used the clonning button because I loved how I could create basically a whole new picture. You could take things out of the picture with the clonning button; like when we learned how to make the tent "disapear". I think it's amazing how Photoshop makes it so easy to do things that look so hard. It is a lot simpler than it truly looks! There were many other features on this website aside from clonning. I liked using the color changing feature because it really had an interesting effect on my pictures.I enjoyed using the other websites, such as Picnik,as well, but I found it easiest to use Photoshop. Overall I learned a lot about photo editing and will look foward to using these websites more!
I thought that Photoshop Express was simple and absolutely easy to use. Pixlr was a bit harder to find out what to do, and the directions. I found that in order to use it, you would have to have a bit of photo-editing experience beforehand. Finally, Picnik was by far the easiest and the best of the websites. All I had to do was choose what I wanted and instantly got what I wanted. Most of my editing came from this website.
I thought picnik was the easiest one to use, but i didnt like that not all the features were available for non-members. If it didnt have that problem, it would've been my favorite by a lot.
I liked picnik the best. Overall, it was easier to use and easier to understand. There were many more features to use and in my opinion they were much better then the other sites.
Mickey- picnik was easy to use, i didnt have trouble using it. photoshop was a bit more hard for me, i had trouble finding the features
I think that pse is the best photoediting software because it is simple and has a lot of differemt features to use like cloning.
I think picnik was easy because the tools were basic. Photoshop was fun once i got it. The clone tool was really cool. I liked changing the pictures so they looked like something else was happening
Out of all 3 photo editing websites picnik is definitely my favorite. I've had a picnik account for 2 years and I've mad 500+ picniks so I enjoyed being able to use it and explore other affects I usually don't do. Photoshop was cool because it was easy to find effects and clone. I didn't like pixlr as much because it was hard to find things on there and it was okay but it didn't have anything the other websites didn't have. It was cool getting to see all the different websites!
i really liked foto flexer because it had alot of options for adding stickers and other stuff. and i could also add my head into other bodys. but i liked picnik to because it had alot of different color options to change the picture.
