BLOGS vs WIKIS

These are two new Web 2.0 publishing tools. It is easy to post text, pictures and videos. Evenbusinesses are exploring the use of blogs and wikis for a variety of purposes; from customer service and advertising to employee work spaces.
Now that you have experienced both blogs and wikis, describe some of their features. What websites do you use that are a type of blog or a wiki? If it were possible, how would you use a blog or wiki that you created in school? What subject area would you find it most useful? Why?

I have now used blogs and wikis and i have come to a conclusion on which i believe is better. On blogs you can post comments for all of your friends to see. In Wikis you can post your favorite youtube videos and pictures. I personally prefer the wikis because it is on a more personal level. You can make everything your own and put it on your own page.

I think that the wiki is better in my opinion and I'm more comfortable using it. Wikipedia is a type of wiki that I use a lot to find information which is very useful to me. You yourself can also put something on that wiki website but you need a membership and a approval first which makes the website safe and accurate. For my school wiki, I can post lots of things-events, info, updates, etc. And that's just one of the many features that the wiki has.

Some features on wikis and blogs are that you can maek a page and post files and videos on them. I find blogs and wikis most useful for making a portfolio or sharing information about what you like. I find it useful in the subject of information technologies.

This year I have used both blogs and wikis and I believe that Wikis are much better than Blogs. i believe this because blogs you can only comment on other people. In wikis though you can actually create a awesome page. I also believe that wikis have more options than a blog.

I think wikis are hard to use, but they are helpful in seeing the things other people made. Blogs are also helpful because they show other peoples' thinking. I like wikis better because they have a visual display.I think it would be helpful to have blogs in social studies because you can have a debate.
