Movie Maker vs Photostory

We have created movies using two different programs now. We used Microsoft Movie Maker 2 in computer class and each student has created movies using Photostory 3 in Social Studies class. At this point students should be proficient users of both.
Comment on your experience using each. Pay particular attention to their similarities and differences. Compare and contrast the two and describe which program you think would be better to use in certain situations. Some of you have used Audacity too, so you may include information on its use also. Your response should be a thoughtful, organized parapgraph.

I like movie maker better because you can input a video in it. You can't do that in photostory. Also it is easier to put music in it than photostory.

We learned many things about movie maker in computer class which also help us in photostory. They are basically the same; you can do the same things in photostory as in movie maker. It is easier, though, to make a naration in photostory than it is in movie maker. It also takes less time to save as a finished project. I like photostory a little bit better but they are both great programs.

I have used both Photostory and Movie Maker for school projects. But overall, I think Windows Movie Maker is the better of the two. First off, photostory doesn't allow videos to be inserted, while Movie Maker does. Movie Maker also allows you to make separate slides with only text, and you can even change the color of the background. While Movie Maker has its advantages, Photostory also has unique features. For instance, you can "create a song" by choosing the style of music, the tempo, and the intesity level. This Movie Maker does not offer. Also, you can change the effects of the pictures (e.g. black and white, sepia, colored pencil, etc.) which can be a useful tool to have. While they can both make movies, they will be preferred by different kinds of people, and so you really can't officially judge which one is better. But in my opinion, I think that Windows Movie Maker takes the cake.

Both Movie Maker and Photostory can produce movies but I think that Movie Maker is better than Photoshop. Movie Maker is more advanced and has more options. Photostory also does not has smooth transitions while Movie Maker does. In Movie Maker, you can add pictures, monvies, animations, audio and music unlike Photoshop which only allows pictures and coloring to creat movies. I would say that Movie Maker has more options and is better for making projects. I would prefer Movie Maker but you may like Photoshop better.

I really don't see a difference between movie maker and photostory. When I used Audasity on both, I found that the music was very staticy on movie maker, but on photostory it wasn't. Also I really don't see a difference with the photo, although it was easier to time them in movie maker. I really don't have a prefrence between the two. i think that they are both really fun to use and they are good to use especially for Social Studies.

In my opinion I think that movie maker 2 was much better but harder to use. I think it makes better movies. Photostory is very easy and great for begginers but you don't have as much options.

I have to say I prefer Photobucket to Windows Movie Maker. To me Windows Movie Maker is used when you have all your images, or made your video, and you want to make the final touches and edits. With photobucket, for me, it takes more work and creativity, granted WMM isn't a slice of cake either, and you have to start from the very scratch. While you already have your photos on WMM you just need to organize them and make it presentable. With Photobucket you need to get a photo and start from there. You always get many more options in how you want to change whatever you want to change. You can turn in any color, and distort it any way. It forces you to be creative and imaginative, and there are few boundaries.

This is why a prefer Photobucket to Windows Movie Maker.

During the course of this computer class, I have enjoyed using MovieMaker. It seems complicated but it's really easy. When Ms.Wilson first explained the assigment, I thought "great, this is gonna' be so hard." But it turned out to be a really good experience.

I think Photostory is better than
Movie Maker. Because I can not cut black spaces in Movie Maker. I should resize the pictures to remove the black spaces, but in Photostory I don't have to do that because there is option that could remove the black space. Also Photostory could play in every computer. I hoped to have my movie project in my own computer. So I save it in file locker, but I could not play it in my computer because I need all pictures that used in my movie in the computer.
So I think Photostory is better program than Movie Maker.

Movie maker and Photoshop are very cool, similar ways of expressing your topic. They each have flaws and difernent features. If i had to choose which one to pick that is better i would have to go with movie maker. this is for several reasons. One it has more, cooler trasitions. Transitions are a really important way of making a movie better. Another, last reason is that it is easier to use. On photostory you have to click next when you want to add text or music.

I think that Movie Maker and Photo story are both grate programs. I think this because movie Maker is more straght forword. But Photo Story has more photo editing uses.
we Used Movie Maker in a class project, we used features like souond, tranishions, and effects. Photo Story has similar usses and features. All in all I like them the smae because they are both useful in our everyday school work and projects!!

I honestly think that movie maker is easier to use and you can do more with the pictures and time as for photostory takes time to get used to and is a little more complicated. I aslo realized that in photostory you are not asble to choose the transition as for movie maker you do get that option. in my opinion I would definatly use movie maker if I had the option.

I like each program for different reasons. Photostory is faster and I like how you can easily edit the way that pictures move, but moviemaker allows you to put in animations, videos, and the music and scenes can be cut. I like both.
